Hi!
I'm Marsha, and I live in Denver. I am a Kaiser patient, and have my last required class tonight. I have my physical, Psych #2, and scheduling, in the morning. We also have 2 NUT classes the first 2 weeks of June.
But......I have decided, after lots of research, that I want a DS.  I have started the Appeal process with Kaiser. If I win, I will have to go out-of-state for surgery, but that's okay.
Is there anyone here that's had a DS....and even better, any Kaiser patients who have had a DS?
Well, I wanted to say "Hello!" Everyone have a wonderful day!
Marsha

I owed it to myself to research the Duodenal Switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you.  Check out: DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information.

Hey everyone! Deb here! I am new to OH, I had the realize band on 8/27/08 and have lost 93 lbs. so far! I have vlogged my journey from start to present on you tube and I just recently found out more about OH and decided to give it a whirl :) So here I am!

I am hoping to find more people in my local area, that I can talk to, give and get support from and most importantly I hope to find someone near by that wants to go for daily/evening walks and/or go workout at the gym, any kind of physical activity would be nice! :)

My surgeon is Dr. Tillquist and he is the greatest. I am so happy that I chose him as my surgeon!

If you want to talk or have any questions, please message me or reply here!
Talk to you all soon!

Hey Becky!
Deb here! LOL I did ask my surgeon the last time I was there how much fills were, and I think he charges about $190.. I didn't say anything because I thought you were paying the same, had no idea you were paying $300, WOW
Love ya!

Please help.. I live in Loveland and my surgeon's office is located in Greeley.. I just found out that my insurance will not pay for my adjustments, and I am being billed for each one.. The cost is over 300 each time and I can't afford it.
Is there anyone out there in Colorado that is self pay and has found a doctor or fill center that is affordable or that accepts care credit??? I need a fill soon and am really hoping to find a place I can afford.. I am willing to drive across the state if that is what I have to do.
Thanks to all of you,

Hi Everyone!

The seminar was GREAT!!  I have made my appt. with Dr. Snyder and it is on 8 July, which is OK because THAT WAY, I can get all of my consults done and have them when I go to the appointment.

I feel pretty excited!!  I think of being able to walk my doggies and not being in pain.  I think of riding my motorcycle with more vigor!  I think of the things that I haven't done due to my weight and how this tool will help me lose weight and keep it off!

Yea, I am wicked excited!

Cheers!

WELCOME MEGAN! I just wanted to say Hello! I am here in Englewood, CO. I haven't had surgery yet, still in my required 6 month classes. Sounds like you have a good insurance! That's very comforting as you go through this process.

Megan....tonight is YOUR night, isn't it?  You'll do just fine.  There are folks on the 50 and over BMI board/forum.  Have you found them yet?  Quite a few from the CO Springs area.
Hugs and well wishes go with you tonight!
Pat

Hi Pat!

Thanks for the welcome!

Tomorrow evening I am going to a Realize Lap Band seminar.  It is through Rose Hospital and Dr. Snyder.  I am looking forward to it and very excited!

I do need to lose weight and am really commmitted to this tool; I just cannot seem to budge any weight the conventional way, not like when I was younger.

I will be glad to join the Loser's Bench!!

Thanks again for the welcome!

Cheers!
Megan
